Seizing the Momentum, Pooling Strength: The Inaugural Meeting of the Stainless Steel Specialized Committee of the Guangdong Sanitary Ware Chamber of Commerce Concludes Successfully

On July 28, the inaugural meeting of the Stainless Steel Professional Committee of the Guangdong Sanitary Ware Chamber of Commerce, themed “Seizing the Momentum, Pooling Strength, and Moving Toward the Future 2023,” was held in Foshan, Guangdong Province. At the meeting, Zhang Shuru, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Sanitary Ware Chamber of Commerce, emphasized that the establishment of the Stainless Steel Professional Committee aims to unite the collective strength of all stakeholders and leverage the committee’s development to promote the prosperity of the stainless steel industry.

Zhang Shuru, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Sanitary Ware Chamber of Commerce; Kim Ah-bum, Chairman of the Architecture and Manufacturing Special Committee of the Korea-China Promotion Association and Chairman of the Smart Manufacturing Alliance; Huo Jianming, Vice President of the Foshan Foreign Languages Society; and other distinguished guests attended the event. Nearly one hundred representatives from stainless-steel brands, along with media outlets such as New Sanitary Ware Network and Sanitary Ware News, were also on site to witness the inauguration of the first leadership team of the Stainless Steel Professional Committee of the Guangdong Sanitary Ware Chamber of Commerce.
At the outset of the meeting, Zhang Shuru, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Sanitary Ware Chamber of Commerce, drew on a wide range of sources to provide a concise overview of the development trends across the stainless-steel industry and the evolution of stainless-steel sanitary ware. He then succinctly outlined the primary responsibilities and key areas of work for the Stainless-Steel Professional Committee. In his address, Secretary-General Zhang struck a balance between practicality and vision, expressing high expectations for the committee’s future contributions.
At the subsequent election ceremony for the leadership of the Stainless Steel Professional Committee, the election was conducted by a show of hands. Yang Wanjun, Chairman of BNITM, was unanimously elected as the President. Zhang Shuru, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Sanitary Ware Chamber of Commerce, presented Chairman Yang Wanjun of BNITM with the plaque and certificate designating BNITM as the President’s unit, and they took a commemorative photo to mark this historic moment.
Subsequently, Yang Wanjun, Chairman of BNITM, delivered an inaugural address filled with excitement. Chairman Yang expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Guangdong Sanitary Ware Chamber of Commerce, all media friends, and fellow industry colleagues for their trust in BNITM. He said it was both an honor and a source of trepidation to be elected chairman, as he worried about whether he could adequately fulfill the role. However, reflecting on BNITM’s pioneering journey 18 years ago—when the brand was the first to introduce stainless steel sanitary ware—he recalled how the team, armed with courage and wisdom, dared to “be the first to eat the crab” and bring this product category to where it stands today, gradually winning over consumers and fostering widespread acceptance. Based on this experience, BNITM is confident that it can lead the specialized committee toward continuous progress. Although the stainless steel home-furnishings and sanitary-ware industry is still in its early stages, through relentless efforts, stainless steel home furnishings will increasingly capture a larger share of the home-furnishings market. On this brand-new platform for development, BNITM will actively integrate into the broader family of the Stainless Steel Committee, set a positive example, and encourage everyone to freely share their insights and suggestions, so as to provide a scientifically sound roadmap for the development of the stainless steel industry, facilitate rational structural adjustments, and jointly advance the growth of the sector.
Subsequently, during the roundtable discussion at the conference, representatives from various brands shared their views on the future development direction of the stainless steel industry and the major problems currently facing it. President Yang and Mr. Peng, Brand Director of BNITM, both offered their unique insights and put forward suggestions and ideas for the industry’s development.
