Mother’s Day is not only a traditional festival in our culture; it is celebrated around the world in a variety of ways. Its origins can be traced back to ancient Greece, where it was first observed as a festival honoring Hera, the mother of all gods.
Later, in 1906, a mother and daughter in Philadelphia, USA, who had always depended on each other, faced a tragic loss: on May 9, the mother passed away. In her memory of her kind and loving mother, her daughter, Anna Jarvis,

The following year, she organized a local event to honor her own mother and began appealing to the public, encouraging more people to hold similar events to express gratitude to their mothers. Later, she launched a nationwide campaign to petition for Mother’s Day to be officially recognized as a national holiday.
Finally, on May 10, 1913, the United States Congress decided to designate the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day, and on that day every household was required to fly the national flag as a gesture of respect for mothers. Since then, Mother’s Day has been established as an official holiday and has been celebrated ever since.

This is because carnations were the favorite flower bouquet of Anna Jarvis’s mother during her lifetime, which is why the carnation has become the symbol of Mother’s Day. In China, Mother’s Day first gained traction in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan before gradually spreading to the mainland.
China is a nation steeped in the tradition of filial piety, with well-known stories such as Mencius’s mother moving three times to find the right environment for his education. Consequently, Mother’s Day holds great significance in China. On this day, people express their gratitude to their mothers by sending greeting cards or presenting a wide variety of gifts.
Therefore, today, whether you are out there working hard or staying at home, I hope you will all offer your mothers a heartfelt blessing in gratitude for the love and care they have given you. Finally, here are some blessings for all mothers.

When time turns dark hair to silver, when wind and rain leave deep scars on our skin, when our silhouettes in the setting sun grow smaller and smaller, when the voice on the other end of the phone grows fainter and fainter, only then, as we ourselves thrive and mature, do we realize that our dear mother is growing old.
On Mother’s Day, may all mothers in the world be happy and healthy!
There is a kind of care that is especially warm,
There is a kind of longing that connects hearts.
