【BNITM】Mid-Autumn Festival: Gratitude Always

Flowers bloom and wither, the moon wanes and waxes—time slips by silently, and in the blink of an eye it is already the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Abundant harvests and golden leaves alike proclaim that the Mid-Autumn Festival is a season of breathtaking beauty—and of tender, heartfelt emotions.

It carries with it countless thoughts and deep affection, drawing distant hearts closer together and enabling everyone to fully savor the joy of reunion during the Mid-Autumn Festival!

The Mid-Autumn Festival originated in ancient worship of the moon and has a long history. The term “Mid-Autumn” is first recorded in the Rites of Zhou. According to the traditional Chinese lunar calendar, the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month falls squarely in the autumn season and marks the middle of the eighth month, hence the name “Mid-Autumn.” Moreover, each of the four seasons was divided into three phases—“Meng,” “Zhong,” and “Ji”—so the second month of autumn was called “Zhongqiu,” or “Middle Autumn.” It was not until the early Tang dynasty that the Mid-Autumn Festival became an established holiday.

What is reunion? Perhaps it’s a bountiful feast prepared by mom and dad; perhaps it’s the bright, silvery full moon; perhaps it’s a long-awaited reunion after being apart for ages; or perhaps it’s the steadfast commitment to stay put, all so that every family can be together. There are a hundred ways to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival reunion—each one rooted in our shared love for country, home, and you. May we all live long and share the beauty of the moon, though miles apart.

Home is the shelter that offers us refuge in the face of raging storms and comforting solace when our hearts grow weary; it is the haven where both body and soul can find rest.

Home is always the shore where we can find rest; no matter how far we may be, the one thing that truly weighs on our hearts is home.

Only home is the place that will never abandon us, no matter how harsh the winds and rains may be; it is our eternal guardian. Home is the warmest embrace, a haven that will never let us get hurt. No matter what hardships, setbacks, or failures we face in society, the door of home will always be open to us.

As the autumn chill deepens and maple leaves turn ever redder, every tree seems steeped in romance, each leaf brimming with heartfelt emotion. Let the vibrant red of the maple leaves carry our warmest wishes to every family: May harmony at home bring prosperity in all things, and may a thriving home attract abundant wealth!

Home is the starting point of happiness and the end of troubles. There are delicious meals, warm companionship, people who love you and people you love at home. Home is the haven of the heart and the refuge of the soul! BNITM gives you a different kind of home.

We often say that in love, companionship is the most enduring declaration of devotion—but we seldom realize that, for the parents who gave us life, your presence is the warmest, most heartfelt gift of all.

They love me as if I were their very life; they care for me without ever asking for anything in return, simply giving and giving. They don’t measure how far they’ve gone—all they care about is whether you’re doing well. Only parents are like this!

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, please spend more quality time with your parents.

Life is a long journey, and they have already traversed more than half of it. They have stepped back from the roles in which they once toiled and now occupy a supporting position. Their children have grown up and are each busy building their own careers. The peers with whom they once shared life’s milestones are gradually drifting away, one by one… So please, come home more often! Spend some time with them—chat about everyday matters, share a few casual words, and listen to their gentle chatter. Sometimes, all they need is your presence to feel truly warm and cared for.

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, let’s show our parents extra gratitude.

Do you still remember the joyful, excited laughter of your father as you took your first wobbly steps? Do you recall the sight of your parents standing on the platform, reluctant to part, as you shouldered your backpack and set off to pursue your studies? The happiest moments of their lives are when they watch you grow a little more each day—and then watch you drift farther away from them. They have poured their youth, their dreams, and the better half of their lives and their deepest affections into you. Please never forget the love they have quietly embedded in every meal and in their endless, tender words.

On this Mid-Autumn Festival, when the bright moon shines across thousands of miles and carries our heartfelt longing, let us admire the moon, savor mooncakes, and, in these tranquil moments, bask in the sense of security that home provides—its tender, unwavering care and devotion.

The moon is brightest in one’s hometown.

Home is where hearts come together.

Wishing everyone a joyous Mid-Autumn Festival with their families!
