How does BNITM teach you to maintain a stainless steel Laundry cabinet in daily life?

Stainless steel Laundry cabinet has water- and moisture-proof properties, and generally has a long service life. However, over time or due to improper daily use, some minor problems may occur with the Laundry cabinet, which requires us to pay attention to its maintenance in daily life. Next, we will share some maintenance methods for stainless steel Laundry cabinets.

1. During home decoration, the stainless steel Laundry cabinet should be protected. During home renovation, cement particles and wall-washing water—common construction materials—can easily adhere to cabinet surfaces. Cement itself contains acidic and alkaline components; in a watery environment, these substances can react chemically with the stainless steel surface, leading to corrosion. If such substances accidentally get on the surface, they should be rinsed off immediately with clean water.

2. Once opened, detergent products should not be stored in the stainless steel cabinet for extended periods. The vapors emitted by opened detergent products can damage stainless steel; over time, they can oxidize the anti-rust coating, leading to internal oxidation and rusting of the cabinet.

3. Activated carbon must not be stored in stainless steel cabinets. When activated carbon becomes damp, it undergoes a chemical reaction that imparts a weakly acidic character, leading to severe corrosion of stainless steel.

4. Do not scrub the cabinet surface with steel wool or a rough brush. Steel wool or a stiff brush has considerable hardness and can damage the protective coating on the product’s surface; therefore, for maintenance, please clean it with a soft cotton cloth or a plush cloth.

5. Do not use high-concentration or highly corrosive solvents for cleaning. For general stains, use a spray cleaner and a dry towel to wipe them off; for dust, wash with soap, a mild detergent, or warm water; for oil stains, wipe clean with a soft cloth and then wash with a neutral detergent; and for iridescent streaks, which are caused by excessive use of detergent, rinse thoroughly with warm, neutral detergent.

6. The stainless steel Laundry cabinet should be cleaned regularly. Typically, clean it every 15 to 30 days: first wipe it with clean water, then dry it thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.

7. Ceramic pot maintenance: Ceramic pots should be kept clean at all times. For everyday cleaning, use plain water, dishwashing detergent, or soapy water; promptly remove dust and sand to prevent abrasion of the surface. If scratches appear on the ceramic basin, apply a small amount of toothpaste to the affected area, rub repeatedly with a soft, dry cloth, and then polish with wax to restore the surface to a smooth, like-new finish.

8. Marble Countertop Maintenance Natural marble is a porous stone that can absorb various liquids; if the bottom of an object placed on the countertop contains water, prolonged exposure can easily leave water-stain marks. Therefore, always dry any water on the bottom of objects before placing them on the surface. For daily maintenance, wipe the marble countertop with a soft cloth and clean water, then follow up by drying the surface with another clean cloth.

9. Bathroom Mirror Maintenance : Do not touch or wipe the mirror with wet hands or a damp cloth, as this can cause moisture to penetrate the surface and lead to degradation and blackening of the reflective coating. The mirror should also be kept away from acidic, alkaline, and oily substances, as these can easily corrode the surface. If water stains appear on the mirror, wipe them dry promptly with a soft, dry cloth.

10. Metal fittings shall be lubricated at moving parts every six months.
